As technological advances continue to shape the real estate industry, it is more important than ever to understand how we can leverage technology to help solve real-world problems.
On Thursday, February 22, we are hosting the 2018 Real Estate Tech and Innovation Expo, where we’ll focus on learning more about the intersection of tech and real estate.
The event, sponsored by Knotel and Spectrum Enterprise, will start with keynote speaker Mallorie Rosenbluth, head of social media at Seamless and Grubhub.
Mallorie will discuss how to win social media in 2018 and her direct experiences in this evolving field. Her insights are sure to empower and inform those of us who want to continue to build a successful presence across social media platforms.
Social media can be an effective way to maximize visibility among a client base and it is often the biggest platform that we in the industry have at our disposal. But that doesn’t mean that successfully managing social media platforms is a simple task.

“Understanding the complexities of social media can be daunting, especially with how quickly the platforms change. I’m thrilled to be able to share insights and empower this community to build a successful presence for themselves on channels like Facebook and Instagram,” said Rosenbluth.
The keynote address will be followed by a panel of social media influencers led by Michael Beckerman, CEO of The News Funnel. Panelists include: Danielle Lurie, of Compass Real Estate, Chris Kann, of The Corcoran Group, Tal Alexander, of Douglas Elliman, and Ari Harkov, of Halstead Property.
These leaders will discuss best practices and strategies for building your online brand in real estate by leveraging new features on each platform, staying on top of social media algorithms, developing engaging content, promoting posts, boosting website traffic, and more.
The event will also celebrate the cutting-edge solutions and entrepreneurial spirit embodied by the 17 teams who participated in our #REBNYTech Hackathon last fall.
We will see presentations from the finalists and announce the winning team from the Gauntlet Challenge. The final winner of the Hackathon will receive an additional $15,000 in cash and prizes.
Finally, all attendees will be able to meet and interact with over 30 real estate tech companies who will be participating in the expo and sharing insights about their services and products.
All in all, the event will be great time – and it will help continue to drive the real estate industry into the 21st century.
We hope you will join us on Thursday, February 22from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on the 14th floor of the Knotel at 655 Madison. You can register at www.rebny.com. Tickets are $45 for members or $99 for non-members.
