Brookfield Office Properties Inc. announced that Parm, the Italian-American restaurant by Major Food Group, will be the first new, sit-down restaurant to join the collection of eateries along Vesey Street at Brookfield Place in Downtown Manhattan.

Major Food Group is a New York-based restaurant group owned by Chefs Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi and Restaurateur Jeff Zalaznick.
Parm will occupy 4,100 s/f on a long-term lease at 250 Vesey Street with frontage on both Vesey Street and North End Avenue.
Parm will join destination restaurants recently opened by restaurateurs Danny Meyer, Stephen Starr and Harry Poulakakos among others across Vesey Street.
Parm was represented in the lease negotiations by Steve Baker of Winick Realty. Brookfield was represented in-house by Ed Hogan, national director of retail leasing and by Steve Plourde of The McDevitt Company.
Parm is expanding from its original location on Mulberry Street at the northern edge of Little Italy.
In addition to Parm, Major Food Group also owns and operates several other restaurants including Carbone, ZZ’s Clam Bar, Torrisi Italian Specialties, and a Parm outpost at Yankee Stadium.

Zalaznick said, “We are thrilled to be bringing Parm to Brookfield Place. It is in one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in New York and we are excited to be a part of this great new development.”
The collection of restaurants along Vesey Street is part of the new $250 million retail neighborhood at Brookfield Place which is attracting such luxury brands as Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermes and Burberry as well as a mix of contemporary fashion outlets such as Calypso St. Barth and Michael Kors.
Brookfield Place will also offer waterfront terrace dining and a new gourmet marketplace.
