North Shore health system takes 52,000 s/f at Melville complex

T. Weiss Realty Corp. announced that Northwell Health, formerly North Shore-LIJ Health System, has leased an additional 52,400 s/f of space at one of its class-A Melville office buildings.

The Great Neck-based health system, which has occupied a 20,000-square-foot call center at T. Weiss’ Melville Corporate Center II since 2013, secured a lease for an additional 52,400 s/f in the building for administrative offices.

The 88,000 s/f Melville Corporate Center II, located at 330 South Service Road, is set on six acres off of the Long Island Expressway, Exit 49, near the Route 110 business corridor at the corner of Maxess Road.

Northwell is the largest private user of office space on Long Island and the largest private employer in the state with more than 61,000 employees.

Northwell was self-represented in the lease at 330 South Service Road, while Craig Weiss, president of T. Weiss Realty, was the in-house representative for the landlord.

“Northwell and T. Weiss Realty have maintained a long and productive association for many years, and we are pleased that Northwell has chosen Melville Corporate Center II for their latest office needs,” said Ted Weiss, founder and chief executive of T. Weiss Realty.

“Northwell is one of the strongest growth engines of the Long Island economy and plays an important role in the healthy well-being of Long Island’s entire population. We are proud to call them a tenant.”

Northwell also leases approximately 4,000 s/f for their STARS physical therapy facility at T. Weiss’ 200 Boundary Ave. office building in Massapequa.
