Legendary writer and civil rights activist, Dr. Maya Angelou’s, brownstone placed on the market

As January came to a close, 58 West 120th Street-the home of the late Dr. Maya Angelou- was placed on the market.

which was completed in 2004. She and now her family have owned the property since then,” Nikci Valon, broker at Link NY Realty told Brokers Weekly. Valon is the sales agent for the home, which spans approximately 6,500 s/f.

“This is a unique brownstone located in the Mount Morris Park Historic District. This single family house features some original details,” he said pointing to the ceilings over 12’ in height and the elevator.

“This is the home of an icon and brings a source of pride to Harlem.”

The asking price for the home is set at over $5 million.
