Leases: NAI Global, Shaw, and more in action

New York

EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global, announced the following leases:
Barry Bernstein represented the landlord and tenant in Eugenia Kim, Inc.’s renewal and 36 percent expansion at 347 West 36th Street. The tenant, which designs luxury hats and accessories, previously occupied 6,536 s/f and now occupies 8,932 s/f.
Elliot Klein represented the landlord and tenant in fashion firm FRC Global Group LLC’s lease of 2,500 s/f at 381 Fifth Avenue.
• Elliot Klein represented 276 Fifth Avenue in a lease of 2,159 s/f to Maxim Capital.
• Barry Bernstein represented 347 West 36th Street in a lease of 2,101 s/f to R&S Construction Contracting, Inc. Katerina Bogatireva of Commercial Spaces Group represented the tenant.
• Barry Bernstein represented the landlord and tenant in handbag designer 1 Atelier LLC’s lease of 1,901 square feet at 347 West 36th Street.

Shaw Industries has signed a long-term lease to occupy 7,963 s/fat 853 Broadway in Union Square, announced The Feil Organization, the building’s owner and manager. The Berkshire Hathaway division will take occupancy of the entire third floor at the end of this year to use as a showroom. Robert Fisher, director of commercial leasing, represented The Feil Organization. Nicholas Weld and Michael Affronti of CBRE represented Shaw Industries. Legal counsel was provided to Feil by in-house attorneys Brian Palumbo and Michelle Frankel. Kevin Walsh represented Shaw.

TRITEC Real Estate Company, Inc. announced that Crown Advertising has signed a lease for 3,784 s/f of office space at 135 Engineers Road, a 55,000 s/f office building, part of TRITEC’s portfolio in the Hauppauge Industrial Park. With the addition of the Crown Advertising lease, 135 Engineers is fully occupied. Scott Berfas of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Crown advertising in the transaction. Daniel Oliver of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented 135 Engineers and TRITEC. Crown Advertising will take occupancy of the space this November.

New Jersey

Bussel Realty Corp. announced that Fine Italian Foods Inc. has leased 17,360 s/f at 42 Mileed Way in Avenel, a 32,000 s/f industrial property. BRC senior vice president Herb Zimmerman and vice president Jeffrey Goldfinger were responsible for the transaction and represented Fine Italian Foods and the landlord, Stephen Bartner. The company has corporate offices in Naperville, Illinois and is relocating its warehouse from Kearny, New Jersey.

Engineering consulting firm GeoDesign Inc. has leased 3,000 s/fof office space at The Berger Organization’s Military Park Building, located at 60 Park Place in Newark. GeoDesign Inc. is headquartered in Middlebury, Conn. and has additional offices in Vermont and New York. The lease commitment is the latest in a series of new leases and renewals at 60 Park Place.

The law firm of Okin Hollander LLC has been a fixture at its existing location in Fort Lee, N.J. for 28 years, but under the terms of a new lease, the company will relocate in mid-September to Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ Glenpointe in Teaneck. The law firm has signed a lease for 6,000 s/f on the second floor of Glenpointe Centre West, located at 500 Frank W. Burr Blvd., after a transaction arranged by Cushman & Wakefield executive vice president Curtis Foster of the commercial real estate services firm’s East Rutherford, N.J. office. Jerry L. Barta, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ vice-president/director of leasing and marketing made the announcement.

SJP Properties announced that Kering Eyewear has signed a lease to establish its first New Jersey office at Somerset Corporate Center II, a Class A office building situated within SJP’s master-planned Somerset Corporate Center complex in Bridgewater, NJ. The company will take 8,000 s/f at Somerset Corporate Center II for its New Jersey headquarters. Cushman & Wakefield executive vice president Marc Trevisan and director Slava Vaynberg represented Kering Eyewear in its lease, while SJP Properties was represented in-house by senior vice president Peter Bronsnick.

Connecticut

Jon Angel, president Angel Commercial LLC, announced the long term lease of 4,250 s/f of Class A office space at 2 Corporate Drive, Shelton, to Kinetix International Logistics, LLC. The tenant is moving its New York regional office from Fairfield to Shelton in order to accommodate expansion needs. Angel represented the tenant in the lease.
