Kalikow welcomes Kennel Club’s finest to 101 Park

Property owner Peter Kalikow (center) took the lead in welcoming in The American Kennel Club (AKC) Museum of the Dog to 101 Park Avenue.

AKC is leasing 60,000 s/f of space to house its museum and its corporate headquarters in the 49-story office tower owned by HJ Kalikow & Company.

They say every dog has its day, but come Friday, February 8, man’s best friend will have be celebrated year around at 101 Park Avenue when the Museum of the Dog officially opens.

“We are proud to be the new home of what is considered one of the world’s largest collections of canine fine art,” said Peter S. Kalikow, president of HJ Kalikow. “The decision by the AKC to build its new museum within 101 Park Avenue reflects the building’s strategic location for visitors and commerce alike as well as our desire to have tenants that add prestige to this world famous address.”

When the new museum opens, visitors will experience exhibits that bridge digital and physical elements that include an interactive “Find Your Match” kiosk that matches a visitor with a dog breed.
