JLL has completed a new sublease on behalf of Quontic Bank at 1 Rockefeller Plaza in New York for 19,799 square feet of office space with sublandlord Trammo.
The Class A, 608,397 s/f office building is owned by Tishman Speyer.
The subtenant, Quontic Bank, was represented by Alexander Chudnoff, Vice Chairman; Benjamin Bass, Managing Director; and Harrison Potter, Associate, all with JLL.
The sublandlord, Trammo, was represented by Greg Taubin, Vice Chairman, Scott Bogetti, Corporate Managing Director, and Sean Hoffman, Assistant Director, with Savills Inc.
“Quontic Bank will be relocating its corporate headquarters from Astoria, Queens, to 1 Rockefeller as part of its expansion and conversion to a digital bank and was focused on finding the best platform to continue growing its expanding business in Manhattan,” said Chudnoff.
“We were able to locate beautifully built, high-end office space at One Rockefeller Plaza that will help the bank immediately satisfy this requirement.”
Quontic Bank inked a six-year sublease for 19,799 s/f of office space and will occupy the entire ninth floor at 1 Rockefeller Plaza. The bank is relocating to the building from 31-05 Broadway in Astoria, Queens, N.Y.
The 36-story 1 Rockefeller Plaza, once known as the Time-Life Building, was designed in the Art Deco style by The Associated Architects and completed in 1937. The office tower is part of the 19-building Rockefeller Center complex in Midtown. Tishman Speyer acquired 1 Rockefeller Plaza in 2001.
