Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) hosted their annual spring benefit to honor acclaimed chef, restaurateur and author Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad, and to raise funds to support the national not-for-profit’s mission of providing culinary career opportunities, education and scholarships to disadvantaged youth.

C-CAP’s Vice Chair Tim Zagat awarded Humm with the C-CAP Honors Award in front of 800 guests at Pier 60 in Manhattan. The benefit raised over $1,200,000 for the organization.

Mark Weiss, RFR Holdings, was recently was named Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of C-CAP with Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Alan Fisher, Fisher Associates, is also a Board Member.

“If you believe as I do that a robust restaurant and hospitality industry is important to real estate values in NYC and the nation, then supporting C-CAP is crucial for making this city a premier cultural destination. When you do this, you’re transforming the lives of at-risk youth and getting them on a successful career path. C-CAP has been doing this for 26 years and with my co-chair acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson, we hope to expand the reach of this great organization,” said Mark Weiss, Co-Chair C-CAP Board of Directors, Head of Capital Investments RFR Holdings.
