Grassi & Co. is adding 10,311 s/f on the 23rd floor to the 13,081 s/f that they lease on the 21st floor, after their recent purchase of accounting firm Pustorini Puglisi.
Feil is building to suit and construction is slated for completion in the middle of January 2013.
“We have a long history together with Grassi & Co.,” said Brian Feil, vice president of leasing at The Feil Organization.
Grassi & Co. was a tenant at Feil-owned 2001 Marcus Avenue in Lake Success, NY for many years. “We welcomed them back to the portfolio in 2010 when they purchased the accounting firm of Pustorini Puglisi, a tenant of ours at 488 Madison Avenue,” added Feil.
“Lou Grassi, managing partner and chief executive officer at Grassi & Co., reached out to my father directly to discuss their need for expansion space and we are pleased that we were able to accommodate them and further our relationship with the firm”.
Founded in 1980, Grassi & Co. is a full-service tax, accounting and business advisory firm.
Their clientele spans several industries including construction, architecture & engineering, manufacturing & distribution, real estate, and healthcare.
Grassi & Co. was listed by Crain’s New York Business as the 23rd largest accounting firm in New York; and by Long Island Business News as the 7th largest on Long Island. Grassi & Co. is headquartered in Manhattan, with offices on Long Island.
488 Madison Avenue overlooks St. Patrick’s Cathedral and is among New York City’s most eclectic and richest architecture.
The 447,000 s/f building was designed in 1949 for Look Magazine by Emery Roth & Sons, and reached Landmark status in 2010. It has been owned and operated by The Feil Organization for over 30 years.
