Famous Footwear has leased its second Manhattan location at 48-50 West 14th Street, located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Union Square.
The 7,800 s/f store is a block-through retail site with 50 feet of frontage on 14th Street and 25 feet of frontage adjacent to the New School entrance on 13th Street.

“Famous Footwear felt that the neighborhood was a strong traffic generator for their demographic, thanks to the nearby New School and all of the name brand retailers coming to the area,” said Kelly Gedinsky, the Winick Realty Group broker who represented landlord CB Developers. “They are excited to capitalize on the Sixth Avenue corridor.”
The store, which was formerly an Annie Sez, also features a 1,000 s/f basement. It sits below a dorm for the New School and is surrounded by public transportation options, which Gedinsky said was another selling point for the brand.
“There is a PATH station nearby, as well as the 1, F and L trains so this store will be very accessible by people coming from all over the city,” Gedinsky said.
Andrew Mandell and Richard Skulnik of Ripco represented Famous Footwear in the lease transaction.
