The Discovery entertainment company has signed a 360,000 s/f deal with TF Cornerstone at 230 Park Avenue.
The real life media behemoth will consolidate several of its existing New York office locations into the new space, with a targeted move in date beginning in Fall of 2019 and continuing through mid-2020, following a renovation of the new facility. A JLL team that included Cynthia Wasserberger, Michael Berg, Joe Judge and Hayley Shoener represented Discovery in the lease.

The new Discovery Global Headquarters at 230 Park Avenue South will be “a creative, collaborative environment” that will feature open floorplans and loft-like features such as exposed ceilings and natural light.
The facility will include a ground floor studio and production space, large outdoor rooftop terrace, full-service Wellness Center and dedicated Discovery lobby.
In January 2018, Discovery announced plans to relocate its current global headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland to New York. The company maintains a National Operations Headquarters in Knoxville, TN, the former headquarters of Scripps Networks Interactive. Discovery closed on its acquisition of Scripps Networks in March 2018.
Discovery delivers over 8,000 hours of original programming each year and is available in 220 countries and territories in 50 languages, The company’s portfolio of brands includes Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, Turbo/Velocity, Animal Planet, and Science Channel, as well as OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in the U.S., Discovery Kids in Latin America, and Eurosport, the locally relevant sports channel that is home of the Olympic Games across Europe.
