Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to announce the $85 million sale of Governors Park in the Clay County section of Jacksonville. The property is a 3,307-acre tract approved for 4000 single family units, 2,000 multifamily units, 840,000 square feet of commercial/retail, 700,000 square feet of office, 400 hotel rooms and 2,000,000 square feet of light industrial.
The buyer, which was represented by members of Cushman & Wakefield’s Florida Land Advisory team, was Fort Lauderdale-based BTI Partners. The deal represents their first major land purchase in the Jacksonville region. The seller was the Davis family and The PARC Group.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Florida Land Advisory team of Andy Slowik, Joseph Lentz, Margery Johnson, and Rachel Slowik who have worked with several property owners in Clay County, noted, “The new First Coast Expressway, running from Interstate 10 south through Clay County and across the St John’s River to St Johns County, has become a major driver of development in Clay County. This enhances plans for the Governors Park development project.”
