Branded Concept Development (BCD), a real estate design and construction services company for developing restaurant and retail concepts, is on the hunt for good grilled cheese spots.
The company has launched a roll out for a new Melt Shop Grilled Cheese chain.
Andrew Moger, CEO and president of BCD, said the goal is to open up to a dozen new locations throughout Manhattan over the next three years.
Chef Kary Sparks is the consulting chef on the venture to take the ultimate comfort food and elevate it to new heights at the first outlet at Citigroup Center on Lexington Avenue & 53rd Street.
While offering the classic — American cheese on white bread with bacon and tomato — Melt Shop also features signature sandwiches such as buttermilk-fried chicken with jalapeno jack cheese and homemade red cabbage slaw, or roast beef with blue cheese and caramelized onions.
The menu also features Shop Tots — lightly fried tater tots dusted with cheese and spices and served with spicy Melt Sauce.
Moger said BCD is seeking high-density, high-traffic Manhattan locations of 750 to 1,200 s/f with full cooking/venting systems. “We’re looking for sites all over Manhattan,” he added.
Alexandra Turboff, Barry Williams and Jordan Korris at BCD are handling the Melt Shop Grilled Cheese roll out.
