The Durst Organization announced that Vidaris, Inc. has signed a 10-year lease for 19,000 s/f on the 24th floor at One Five One West 44nd Street. Vidaris is moving from 360 Park Avenue South.
Building on its pedigree as the first green skyscraper in the country, One Five One West 42nd Street achieved LEED Gold certification under LEED v4 Existing Buildings: Operations + Maintenance.
This accomplishment is a result of a $150 million-plus capital improvement program which included: new entrances, a lobby renovation, new destination dispatch controls and elevators cabs, enhanced building automation and temperature control systems, and demand-controlled ventilation through sensors installed in each air handling unit.
One Five One is home to Durst’s amenity brand, Well& on the fourth floor of the building. The 45,600 square foot amenity includes conference and meeting rooms and an artisanal food hall located in the reimagined Frank Gehry cafeteria and curated by Michelin Star Chef Charlie Palmer.
“Vidaris is an exciting addition to One Five One,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization. “We are honored that a company that has contributed so much to the advancement of high-performance and sustainable buildings has chosen One Five One as their new home.”
“One Five One is the perfect home for Vidaris,” said Marc Weissbach, CEO of Vidaris. “For nearly a century, we have committed ourselves to helping create the most efficient and advanced built environment. Taking up residence at 151, the first green skyscraper and the blueprint for LEED, is an exciting affirmation of our commitment to high-performance construction and development.”
The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Executive Vice President Tom Bow, Senior Managing Director Rocco Romeo, and Managing Director Lauren Ferrentino.
