The move, which comes less than a year since Avison Young entered the Fairfield/Westchester market, reflects the firm’s aggressive growth in the region.

Over the past several months, the firm has secured a number of high-profile assignments and has continued to recruit top professionals to strengthen its presence in Fairfield and Westchester counties. The firm’s Fairfield/Westchester office was most recently located in New Canaan, CT.

Avison Young entered the Tri-State market in 2012 with the opening of its New York City office, and has since established a powerful regional presence, with subsequent office openings in Fairfield/Westchester, New Jersey and Long Island.

The company’s new office lease at MerrittView — located at 383 Main Avenue in Norwalk — coincides with announcements that all of the firm’s Tri-State offices have signed leases to expand their local offices to support the firm’s aggressive expansion throughout the region, across the United States and overseas.

Over the past six-and-a-half years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 62 offices and from 300 to more than 1,700 real estate professionals in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

“Avison Young’s powerful Tri-State platform has helped us to quickly establish a strong Fairfield/Westchester presence in line with our aggressive expansion goals in the region,” commented Cahill.

“Our new office space will enable us to continue to attract top talent and grow our book of business in a centralized location that is convenient to the area’s top business centers and our clients.”

“The exceptional growth of our Fairfield/Westchester office is a testament to the leadership of Sean and the successful introduction of our unique service model in the region,” states Arthur Mirante, Avison Young Principal and Tri-State President.

“In a very short amount of time, we have positioned ourselves well for continued growth as we look to capitalize on our successes and further expand our team.”

Avison Young has secured a number of high-profile assignments since entering the Fairfield/Westchester market, including being named the exclusive office leasing agent forCambridge Hanover’s 60 Commerce Drive in Trumbull, CT, and One Parrott Drive in Shelton, CT.

In December, the firm hired Sean McDonnell to join the Fairfield/Westchester office as a Principal in order to establish a Tri-State healthcare real estate practice.

“Avison Young’s collaborative culture has provided me with the resources and support needed to establish a market-leading healthcare real estate practice to serve the requirements of the region’s medical office users and hospitals,” commented McDonnell. “As we expand our office, we look forward to welcoming new members to our team.”
