AROUND TOWN: upcoming events you need to know about

The SB One Foundation Inc., a 501(c) (3) organization under SB One Bancorp, recently hosted its 18th Annual Golf Outing at the Montclair Golf Club. The event was attended by 232 golfers, the proceeds of which will be distributed to a range of local charitable organizations that enhance the lives of neighbors in the communities in which the bank serves. Among these charities are Homes Fit for Heroes, an organization that provides housing to wounded special operations warriors and their families and The Caryl and Jim Kourgelis Fund for Behavioral Health and Addiction at Hackensack University Medical Center. There were more than 70 sponsors, both corporate and individual, who contributed to this year’s event.

FIDF Golf Outing

July 8: The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) New York Real Estate Division Eighth Annual Golf Outing will take place at Glen Oaks Country Club in Old Westbury. The day-long event will honor the Meridian Capital Group for its support of the organization. Guests will include FIDF New York Real Estate Division Chairman Shimon Shkury, Founder and President of Ariel Property Advisors; FIDF National Board Member and New York Real Estate Division Chairman Emeritus Ofer Yardeni, Chairman and CEO of Stonehenge Partners; Marty Burger, CEO of Silverstein Properties, who will lead FIDF’s Real Estate Mission to Israel in October; FIDF National Director and CEO Maj. Gen. (Res.) Meir Klifi-Amir; and FIDF Tri-State Executive Director Galit Brichta. The day will begin with registration at 9 a.m. and an 11 a.m. tee off and will also feature tennis. Basbeball Game
