CREW-NY Spotlight Series

Aug. 16: CREW New York annual Summer Series featuring Leading Ladies of Real Estate kicks off with Christine Chipurnoi, MS, CPCU, RPLU, Senior Vice President, Risk Management and Insurance, Wells Fargo Insurance Services, USA. Chipurnoi served as 2015 President of CREW New York and was the recipient of its 2017 Founders’ Award. She also served as 2012-2014 President of the Insurance Brokers Association of New York (IBANY) as its first female president in over 115 years. She was just invited to be an Executive Board member of Housing & Service Inc., an organization that provides supportive housing and services to NYC’s chronically homeless population. The event will be held at Akerman LLP, which is the host and sponsor of the Leading Ladies of Real Estate series, at their offices at 666 Fifth Avenue, 20th Floor. Registration begins at 8:15 AM with the event from 8:30 – 10:00 AM. Cost for CREW NY members is $25; other CREW Chapter members, $55; non-members, $65; and students, $25. Register at crewny.org. CIF Dinner

Sept. 12: Concrete Industry Foundation, Inc. (CIF) will sponsor its Second Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner at The New York Athletic Club, New York City. Now in its 24th year, CIF will award 11 scholarships to exceptional and deserving students from prestigious schools of engineering, architecture, and technical colleges in the New York metropolitan area. This year’s Humanitarian Fellow Medal will be presented to Jay Badame, President and COEO of AECOM Tishman. The CIF 2017 James Anderson Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Reginald D. Hough, FAIA. The CIF Lifetime Achievement Award presented posthumously to Vincent J. DeSimone, founder and chairman of DeSimone Consulting Engineers.
