Retail veteran Joe Aquino has been tapped to sub-lease a prime Madison Avenue retail space currently occupied by Italian clothing brand, Paul & Shark.
The 3,064 s/f space at 667 Madison Avenue is located directly across from Barney’s NY Department Store. It comprises 1,464 s/f on the ground floor with 715 s/f of mezzanine sPAce and an 885 s/f basement.
Neighboring tenants include the new Tom Ford store, Calvin Klein, Berluit, Bruno Cucinelli and Bally shoes.
While rents in the area are north of $1,500 psf, Aquino said Paul & Shark is currently paying under-market for their space.
The bespoke Italian clothier is relocating after six years at 667 Madsion, a space Aquino negotiated for them with then-partner Faith Consolo in 2011.
