Accounting big Marcum expanding into new look Nuveen tower

The Nuveen-owned building is getting new lobbies, a food hall and a roof terrace.

Accounting firm Marcum LLP is relocating to Nuveen’s 730 Third Avenue as the firm experiences continued growth across the country.

The new space includes access to a wraparound terrace and the opportunity for logo signage throughout the building’s lobby.

The firm expects to relocate from 750 Third Avenue to the 70,728 s/f space by early 2021.

“Marcum is a dynamic, growing firm that was looking to upgrade the quality of its workplace with their expansion, while staying within its current submarket,” said Ross Perlman, executive managing director with NKF who represented Marcum with senior managing director Lee Brodsky.

“Having partnered with Marcum through the years, we understood the importance of identifying a location that would support the firm’s business needs, most importantly its future growth and recruitment goals.”

Ownership was represented by Neil King & Paul Amrich of CBRE.

730 Third Avenue is a 27-story, 665,110 s/f office tower located two blocks from Grand Central Terminal.

The building’s ownership is currently working on a large project to reimagine the space, adding two new lobbies, double-height storefronts and a 35,000 s/f amenity center that will include a tenant-exclusive food hall, a fitness center, and a conference center.

The building will also have a 7,000 s/f roof terrace on the 22nd floor available to all tenant use.
