Marcus & Millichap announced that it has named Peter Von Der Ahe a senior vice president investments in the Manhattan office. Most recently, Von Der Ahe was a first vice president investments.
Currently a member of Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) division, Von Der Ahe has more than 12 years of investment real estate brokerage experience, with a focus on the New York City multifamily sector.
He has represented several major institutional investors, including Aimco, Centerline Properties, TIAA-CREF, the Praedium Group, BlackRock, JP Morgan Asset Management and many others, as well as leading New York City owners and developers.
In all, Von Der Ahe has arranged more than 275 transactions on behalf of his clients since joining Marcus & Millichap as an agent in 2002.
During his career with Marcus & Millichap, Von Der Ahe has received six National Achievement Awards, eight sales recognition awards and earned membership in the firm’s exclusive Chairman’s Club in 2012.

Eastern Consolidated has promoted both Chad Ian Sinsheimer and Andrew Sasson from associate director to director.
Both brokers specialize in the sales and acquisition of commercial property in New York City. Sinsheimer concentrates on the Upper West Side and Harlem, while Masson focuses on retail and multi-family properties.
Chad Ian Sinsheimer was awarded Eastern Consolidated’s Rising Star of the Year in 2013 with seven transactions, totaling more than $71 million completed during his first year at the firm.
He is currently marketing 37-29 31 Street and 37-26 32 Street, a block-through assemblage of two properties.
Prior to joining Eastern, Sinsheimer was an Equity Options Trader at the Cutler Group LP. He is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication and holds his Series 7, 55, 56, and 63 securities licenses.
Most recently, Andrew Sasson played a major role in the $13.8 million, off-market sale of 15-17 West 116th Street, a mixed-use building in Central Harlem.
He is currently marketing 260 Flatbush Avenue, and 5310-5312 4th Avenue, Sunset Park.
Sasson previously served as Asset Manager for S&S Equities of New York and New Jersey, Inc.
He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Hotel Management and is currently working on his Master’s in Real Estate Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies Schack Institute of Real Estate.

Dawn Pereyo, an industry veteran with more than 24 years of experience, has joined as Director of Title Operations, while Andrew J. Ruppert has come aboard as Senior Title Officer.
Prior to joining FNTA, Dawn Pereyo was the Director of Agency Operations and Director of Client Services for Sutton Land Title Agency.
Before Sutton, she owned and operated her own title agency, Security Settlement of New York, for nearly ten years.
Pereyo launched her career as a title closer and sales representative while completing her MA degree in Government and Politics at St. John’s University, the institution where she also earned her undergraduate degree. M
Andrew Ruppert’s focus as a reader will be obtaining clearance of New York and national files.
Prior to joining FNTA, Ruppert was also with Sutton Land Title Agency. Earlier he was with RELS Title Agency as Title Reader and Clearance Officer.
Ruppert graduated from Austin Community College in Austin, TX, and is currently working on obtaining ALTA certification.

HFF has hired Erik Storz as a director in its New York office. He will focus on debt and equity placement transactions with a particular focus on multi-housing properties.
Storz has more than 14 years of commercial real estate experience and has financed more than $650 million of commercial real estate debt.
He joins HFF from Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, where he was the vice president of the Mortgage Banking Group – Originations, since 2006.
Prior to that, he worked as an office leasing broker in New York at The Staubach Company.
Preceding his commercial real estate career, Storz played for three seasons as a linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League (NFL).
He obtained his Masters in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Boston College.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Helene Jacobson has been named Senior Managing Director, New York Tri-State Region in the company’s Valuation & Advisory Services group.
Jacobson will continue to be responsible for CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services operations in the region while expanding her responsibilities for national client accounts based in New York City.
Jacobson has extensive experience in all areas of valuation for commercial and residential properties.
She holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute as well as appraisal licenses in the Tri-State area.
She received a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington University.

RKF announced that Isaac “Ike” Bibi has joined the firm as a senior associate.
Bibi will focus on representing both local and national retail brands; and leveraging his existing relationships with prominent New York landlords, developers and entrepreneurs for the firm’s agency assignments.
Prior to joining RKF, Bibi was an associate with Laura Pomerantz Real Estate. Among his noteworthy accomplishments was helping to arrange the 3,225 s/f lease to international apparel retailer KikiRiki at 676 Broadway in NoHo.
Retail clients that Bibi has represented include Gregory’s Coffee and Eshave, Smash Burger, Dunkin Donuts, and the Juice Shop.
Among the landlords he has represented are Jackson Group, Ditmas Management, United American Land and Kedzkidz Realty LLC.
He was previously a vice president at Checkolite International, Inc., a leading lighting manufacturing wholesaler.

Bryan Cave LLP announced that James P. Colgate will join the firm’s Land Use Team in the New York office as counsel.
Colgate joins Bryan Cave from the New York City Department of Buildings, where he served as the assistant commissioner for technical affairs and code development. In this role, he issued complex interpretations, co-authored laws and managed the department’s legislative efforts to revise the New York City Construction Codes. Colgate is a registered architect who also held posts at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the Department of City Planning.
Colgate joins Bryan Cave as Margery Perlmutter, a partner and member of the Land Use Team, leaves the firm to serve as chair of the New York City Board of Standards and Appeals following her selection earlier this year by Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Colgate received his J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University in 2000 and his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992. He received his B.A. from New York University in 1988.

Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. has appointed Keith Cody as Vice President, Leasing.
Cody joins ESRT from CBRE, where he served as a Senior Vice President. He brings to the company over 18 years of real estate experience representing tenants such as AIG, the City of New York, Credit Suisse, National Life Insurance, and Jonathan Rose Companies, among many others.
During his real estate career, Cody has completed over 300 lease transactions totaling more than 3.5 million square feet.
In his new role, Cody oversees office leasing throughout ESRT’s Manhattan properties.
Cody received a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

AXA Real Estate Investment Managers has appointed Matt Holberton as a Senior Business Development Manager.
Prior to joining AXA Real Estate, Holberton was with Ares Management LLC, which acquired AREA Property Partners in 2013.
He has also held the position of principal of Allied Realty, COO at St. Charles Town Company, Managing Director at Black Creek Capital, and associate at Merrill Lynch.
He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia Business School and his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bucknell University.
