WHO’S NEWS: The latest residential appointments and promotions

Jodi Biernacki, Relocation Manager at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, recently became a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), earning the highest designation of expertise in the relocation industry.

Biernacki joins a select group of professionals — she is one of a just a few on Long Island who have passed a comprehensive test to earn the specialized certification governed by the Worldwide ERC, the relocation industry’s trade group.

Eligible candidates earn the CRP designation by passing an exam that covers the entire relocation industry, including policy development and administration, home sale programs, U.S. tax and legal compliance issues, relocation appraising and trends in relocation.

To even apply for the certification test, candidates must have a minimum of two years working as a manager or director in relocation.

Biernacki joined Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in 2013 as a Referrals Coordinator, progressed steadily to become Referrals Manager and then Relocation Manager.

Citi Habitats announced that Carly Colonnese has joined the firm as their Social Media Specialist.

In the newly-created role, Colonnese will be responsible for managing the content and tone of the firm’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts.

In addition, she will offer group and individual training sessions, so Citi Habitats’ agents can use social media to build and grow their respective businesses.

She will also test and roll-out new tools that will help them use these services more effectively and easily.
Prior to joining Citi Habitats, Colonnese was the Content and Communities Executive at the international recruiting company, Michael Page.

She has also worked as a freelance social media manager and graphic designer.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced the addition of Carole Crist to The Lisa Simonsen Team in New York City.
Prior to this position, Crist served as an agent with Douglas Elliman’s Miami Beach office, where she specialized in Fisher Island and Miami Beach luxury residential properties with a focus on high-end condominiums.

A New York native and dually licensed in both New York and Florida, Crist brings an extensive network of clients in New York, the Hamptons and Florida.

During her tenure in Florida, Crist leveraged her background in business and finance to become a successful real estate investor and agent, and served as the First Lady of Florida from 2008 to 2011.

Crist previously owned and operated a century-old family business in costume wholesale, before selling the company to focus on her real estate career.

She became a licensed real estate agent with The Corcoran Group in New York and later joined Luxe Living Realty in South Beach.

The Corcoran Group welcomed Steven Kramer to their flagship 660 Madison Avenue office.

Kramer joins the firm from Douglas Elliman, where he spent the past decade, first working with one of the firm’s top teams and later leading his own team.

Kramer first began his career working for a real estate law firm, and later on the NYMEX trading floor.

He recently closed the most expensive co-op ever sold in Nevada Towers for $3.1 million, and has sold luxury real estate throughout Manhattan, including a number of sales and rentals at 40 Mercer.

Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Alicia Kunkel has joined the luxury brokerage firm as a licensed real estate salesperson.

Prior to establishing herself in real estate, Kunkel was publisher and editor-in-chief of Les Carats, a luxury lifestyle magazine in New York, and copy editor for Fashion & Beauty Milan, a magazine based in Italy.

She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and its multiple listing service.

Kunkel is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America.

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty recently welcomed marketing and brand management expert Marion Weiler as its Senior Vice President Marketing & Business Development.

Weiler has held multiple corporate leadership roles in brand management and marketing at global corporations.

She has consulted for some of the world’s most respected Forbes 500 companies on branding strategies.

She most recently spent a year in Germany on the faculty of the School of Business of Hochschule Mainz – University of Applied Sciences.

Before that, she served as Marketing Director for NRT managing the marketing function for NRT’s Coldwell Banker and Coldwell Banker Previews brands.

Weiler has lived and worked on both coasts of the United States as well as in Europe. She holds an MBA in Marketing, a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management & Marketing, a Certificate in Industrial and Organizational Behavior, and is a licensed real estate salesperson.

Citi Habitats announced that veteran agent Michael Eisenberg has joined the firm.

Most recently associated with Keller Williams’ Midtown East office, Eisenberg was among his previous company’s top-producing agents – and is the leader of the Eisenberg Exclusives Team.

He was also the co-founder of Furnished Habitats, a real estate agency he ran for 16 years.

Joining him at Citi Habitats’ Park Avenue South location are his team members – and licensed real estate salespeople – Mike Madewell, Anthony Colon and Jamaal Joshua.

Eisenberg started his real estate career in 1999 – when he helped develop an online listings portal for a Manhattan landlord.

While he is well-versed in traditional rentals – and co-op, condo and multi-family building sales, he has also developed a unique focus on the furnished rental market.

While Eisenberg works primarily in Manhattan, he also does business in New Jersey and Southern California.
A native of Westchester County, NY, he is a graduate of NYU and New York Law School.

RE/MAX announced the promotions of Abby Lee to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Amy Somerville to Senior Vice President of Training and Education and Anne Miller to Vice President of Luxury and Commercial.

Abby Lee previously served as Vice President of Marketing and Media Strategies and will continue to oversee the planning and execution of U.S. national advertising campaigns and direct media strategies within Company-Owned Regions as well as lead the marketing, communications, public relations and social media groups at RE/MAX World Headquarters in Denver.

Additionally, she continues the focus on enhancing an overarching communications function to provide greater and more consistent reach to shareholders, consumers, network and employees.

Amy Somerville was promoted from her previous title of Vice President of Education and Training and will continue to oversee education development and training strategy for RE/MAX, LLC and Motto Franchising, LLC.

She is the driving force behind RE/MAX University, Motto University and the Momentum training program and executive produces and facilitates a wide spectrum of global events.

Anne Miller previously served as Executive Director, Luxury and Commercial, for RE/MAX, LLC and will continue to focus on building programs and developing new innovations to meet and exceed the requirements of RE/MAX luxury agents and commercial practitioners as the needs of their clients continue to evolve.

She has created and implemented programs that have generated millions of brand impressions, is a trusted advisor to the top agents in the system.
