Who ya gonna call? StreetEasy takes listings to 21st century phone booths

StreetEasy is partnering with LinkNYC, the company behind the city’s new pay-phone style Wi-Fi boxes, to bring their listings to the streets.

The Link kiosks have been popping up on sidewalks throughout the city.

They are equipped with free services like high-speed Wi-Fi, phone calls, a tablet for web browsing, and device charging for anyone living in or visiting New York City to use.

Kicking off last week, StreetEasy is LinkNYC’s first partner in the real estate category, bringing apartment listings currently for rent on StreetEasy directly to the streets of New York City.

Through the digital ad screens on a selection of LinkNYC Wi-Fi kiosks, StreetEasy will display neighborhood-specific apartment listings, rotating different listings each day.

Passersby who see the ads can open StreetEasy on their phone or download the app within seconds using Link’s high-speed Wi-Fi access to start viewing apartments near their location, including open houses.

StreetEasy will update apartment listings daily through direct access to Link’s API, aligning apartment locations with individual Links.
