Sabre Real Estate Group arranged a lease in Commack, NY, on behalf of Romacorp, Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s restaurants, for the first new Tony Roma restaurants on Long Island in 25 years.
Romacorp leased a new, 6,500 s/f freestanding building in the Cosentino Commerce Center at Henry Street and Crooked Hill Road in Commack.
Construction is now underway and the new eatery, which features ribs, steaks and more, is expected to open during the first quarter of 2014
Stu Fagen, managing director of Sabre, arranged the lease with the landlord, Cosentino Realty Group, on behalf of Roma’s.
Tony Roma’s operated restaurants in Valley Stream and Syosset in the late 1980s, but they subsequently closed.
Romacorp, Inc. is the parent company of Tony Roma’s restaurants, the world’s largest casual dining concept specializing in ribs. It currently owns or franchises more than 150 restaurants in 33 countries and territories. The first Tony Roma’s restaurant opened in 1972 in North Miami, Fla.
