Teaching hospital takes 51,000 s/f in Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Hospital Center has leased 51,226 s/f of space at 523 Fulton Street, a three-story, mixed-use property on the Fulton Mall in Downtown Brooklyn.

Raymond M. Chera, owner of RMC Assets LLC, announced the hospital signed a long-term lease at the 114,000 s/f property, including 11,400 s/f in the basement. Brooklyn Hospital will house administrative offices in the building. The blended asking rent for the space was $55 psf.

Justin Liniado and Trent E. Dickey of Schuckman Realty Inc. represented Chera in the transaction.

Spectrum Cable has also leased space on the ground floor for a new store. Justin Liniado and Trent E. Dickey of Schuckman Realty Inc. represented Chera. Jeremy Scholder and Dean Rosenzweig of CBRE represented Spectrum Cable.

Chera is currently implementing a $15 million renovation to the building that will include a dedicated lobby for the Brooklyn Hospital Center, along with a new façade, new windows and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The building is also creating a special temperature-controlled outdoor/indoor rooftop space for the hospital.
