Potential buyers looking to get a peak at the hot Harlem real estate market will get their chance as the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) gears up to host its first-ever Upper Manhattan Open House Expo.
REBNY brokers will host exclusive viewings of co-op, condo, and townhouse listings for sale in Harlem and give the community the opportunity to learn about the booming real estate market from experienced uptown brokers.
The event will take place on both Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will kick off at Corner Social restaurant at 321 Lenox Avenue at the corner of West 126th St.
Members of REBNY’s Upper Manhattan Committee will kick off the Expo at 9:30 a.m. with an information session and will be on-hand to assist house-hunters with choosing which of the more than 25 exclusive open house offerings they should view to best suit their individual needs. At 11 a.m. the brokers will disperse to their respective listing where they will host the viewings until 3 p.m.
“Events like this are an example of how the work that our committees do can benefit the local community as well as the brokerage community,” said Steven Spinola, REBNY president, “This open house expo will highlight the vibrancy of the Harlem home market as well as kick off the Spring season with an exciting and informative event.”
Attendees will receive a directory guide produced in partnership with Experience Harlem, which will contain information about the tour, participating brokers, a map, as well as local venues. The availability and status of homes listed in the guide is subject to change.
“Harlem is a neighborhood rich with heritage, and we are excited to feature these listings on the tour, as they are a great example of what this neighborhood has to offer,” said Charlie Lewis, a senior managing director at Warburg Realty who is spearheading the firm’s Harlem initiative.
