Organic beauty brand takes short-term Garment District deal

Fashion meets beauty as an organic cosmetic company takes up residence in Garment District.

Farmacy Beauty, a naturally-derived skincare line, has signed a short-term lease at 552 Seventh Avenue, taking 2,500 s/f for four years.

Catherine O’Toole and Stephanie Moore of Lee & Associates NYC represented the building owner, Dayan-26 LLC, while by Robert Carinci of SquareFoot represented the tenant. The asking rent at the site was $54 per square foot.

“Natural beauty is very much on-trend right now and Farmacy Beauty is the embodiment of the move towards more natural products,” O’Toole, a senior managing director and principal at Lee, said. “The Garment District draws many creative people who have their finger on the pulse of what’s happening in fashion and beauty, meaning that Farmacy Beauty will be a welcome addition to the area.”

The wood-floored space with exposed brick is on the fifth floor 552 Seventh Avenue, between West 39th and 40th Streets.

Farmacy Beauty is moving from elsewhere in the Garment District and expects to move into its new space on December 1.
