Tim Milton, MIES, LEEP AP, has been elected president of the Illuminating Engineering Society New York City Section (IESNYC) for a two-year term.
Since 2003, he has chaired and served on various IESNYC committees including membership and finance, and most recently, as was the section’s vice president.
As president of the Society’s largest section, Milton will oversee the workings of the section’s board of managers and its 12 committees.
Milton has close to 20 years’ experience in the lighting industry.
Since January 2012, he has been USAI Lighting’s northeast regional manager. Before that, he served in managerial sales positions for lighting companies including Elliptipar, Acuity Brands and Crestron Lighting Controls.
He earned an undergraduate degree in design from Liverpool University in the UK, and a master’s degree in architectural lighting from Parsons

The New School of Design. Lighting designer Brian Belluomini, MIES, the IESNYC’s new vice president has been involved in the section since 2004.
Belluomini is the co-founder and principal of Shimstone Design Studio. Earlier, he was an independent lighting consultant to many New York firms, and worked as a lighting designer for Brandston Partnership.
He received his BFA in Theater Design & Technology from Northern Illinois University, and his masters in architectural lighting design from Parsons.
In addition, the section elected Caleb McKenzie (T. Kondos Associates) secretary and Brad Telias (Enterprise Lighting Sales), treasurer and inaugurated its 2013-2014 Board of Managers – Mike Barr (Lutron Electronics), Philip Cialdella (LightAbilities), Frank Conti (Enterprise Lighting Sales), Shaun Fillion (Osram Sylvania), Peter Jacobson (ConEdison of New York), Dan Rogers (ICF International), Randy Sabedra (RS Lighting Design), Kelly Seeger (ICF International), and Meg Smith (Philips North America).
