Newest High Line homes unveiled
The Bauhouse Group, a New York City-based real estate development and investment firm, has unveiled renderings for 515 High Line, a new developments located at 515 West 29th Street.
Bauhouse has selected Singapore architect Soo K. Chan, founder of the award-winning firm SCDA Architects, as the principal architect for the luxury condo at the center of the 90-degree bend of the High Line park at 29th Street, making it the only site with High Line views on two sides.
“Given the unique location of 515 West 29th Street, we sought a designer with the global experience, vision and sophistication to match the high caliber of new residential development in what has become the modern art capital of the world,” said Joseph Beninati, managing member of Bauhouse.
“Soo Chan’s stunning loft-style interiors evoke an understated appeal and modernity, with luxurious finishes and soaring ceilings. The exterior façade, with steel and glass that appears to curve — as inspired by the High Line’s bend at 29th Street — will incorporate the High Line both for onlookers and residents in a way that no other property will.”
The $125 million development, slated for completion in late 2015, will offer residences with outdoor spaces, double height ceilings and great views.
As well as the High Line, it looks onto the new Hudson Yards, including a view to the new Culture Shed that will be the home of New York Fashion Week.
The homes will range from 2,100 to 4,400 s/f and from $5 million to $25 million in price.
The building will have three penthouses with “substantialˮ private outdoor spaces and 22 ft. ceilings.
The development will be complimented by a ground floor retail/gallery space at the base of the building.
Joining a crop of globally recognized architects also designing in West Chelsea, Chan is one of Asia’s most renowned architects.
He received his Masters in Architecture at Yale University. His body of work spans private homes, public works, furniture, resorts and residential towers, which have been critically acclaimed for their refined design, modern appeal and highly technical foundation.
SCDA Architects’ portfolio of work spans more than 30 major international countries and cities, including China, Hong Kong, UAE, India, Bali, Australia and now New York City.
515 West 29th Street is slated to begin sales in fall 2014. Noble Black of the Corcoran Group is the exclusive broker.

HarborsEdge.com is located at 21 West Water Street, a few blocks from the historic Main Street. Keith Green from Halstead is leading the marketing effort.
Developed by Water Street Development at Sag Harbor’s principal, Joe LoMonaco, alongside general contractor Roy “Buddy” Wines, of RLW4 Builders, Harbor’s Edge offers four bungalows, eight lofts, and three penthouses — all oriented toward Sag Harbor’s harbor.
Prices range from just under $2.5 million for a two bedroom loft to over $6 million for a three bedroom penthouse.
Each residence has a private terrace, yard or balcony where the Hampton sunsets serve as the backdrop.
Added Green, “We have worked hard to ensure that every detail lives up to the lifestyle promised by this incomparable location,” said LoMonaco. “The developer has made as many right decisions as I’ve ever seen in any development, but it seems to be the combination of the village location with harbor views that has everyone in the Hamptons talking.”
Interior design is by Nadine Homann, of NH Design Studios. Homes have 10 ft. ceilings, custom millwork and wide plank hardwood flooring stained to evoke driftwood.
