MONA brings yoga studio back to Union Square

Brandon’s Singer’s retail brokerage MONA has arranged a new lease for ISHTA Yoga in Union Square.

Yogiraj Alan Finger, founder of Yoga Zone, Be Yoga (Yoga Works) and ISHTA Yoga, will bring his practice back to Union Square with his wife and partner, Sarah Finger, and ISHTA co-owner Mona Anand.

ISHTA Yoga – which has been operating entirely online throughout the pandemic – has taken space at 816 Broadway, one block from its former downtown studio.

ISHTA was represented by a team of brokers from MONA, including chief executive officer and founder Brandon L. Singer and portfolio manager Sara Armet.

816 BROADWAY

The 1,271 s/f space is located on the second floor of 816 Broadway in a building owned by Solil Management Corporation.  Jeremy Modest represented ownership in the transaction.

“As New York City roars back from the COVID-19 pandemic, brands like ISHTA Yoga are among the city’s true success stories,” Singer said. “We are so thrilled to have played a role in bringing this well-known and well-loved studio back to Union Square.”

Prior to the pandemic, ISHTA Yoga operated studios at multiple locations throughout New York City, including 56 East 11th Street and 1026 Third Avenue. ISHTA Yoga has operated studios in New York since 2008.
