TOWN Residential announced that Mark David Fromm and Claudia Saez-Fromm have joined the company as senior vice presidents.
Mr. and Ms. Fromm previously led Mark David & Company Real Estate as chief executive officer and chief operating officer, respectively.
That company is being “wound down” and the 75 agents will be recruited to TOWN or assisted in their search for positions at other firms, according to reports.
“In their 10 years at the helm of Mark David & Company, Mark and Claudia created an impressive local presence throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, from the ground up,” said TOWN founder and CEO Andrew Heiberger.
“Today, they boast an incredible book of business with an extensive relationship network. We are thrilled to provide Mark and Claudia an established platform on which they can continue building their sales client database, with access to TOWN’s best-in-class management and exceptional service-based resources.”
As co-founder and CEO of Mark David & Company, Mr. Fromm grew his eponymous brokerage from a single office at 60 Madison Avenue to more than 75 agents at three Manhattan locations and a record of more than 10,000 transactions citywide.
Since 2005, the firm has maintained a 4,000 s/f SoHo office at 560 Broadway and Prince Street to house its residential sales, investment sales and commercial leasing divisions.
“Mark and Claudia are superstars in their own right in the luxury downtown market, in both sales and rentals,” said Wendy Maitland, TOWN senior managing director of sales.
“This will become even clearer as they spread their wings with TOWN’s befitting platform and infrastructure. They have taken notice of what we’ve accomplished, and believe that partnering with TOWN can help take their businesses to a whole new level.
“The Fromms’ arrival at TOWN demonstrates yet again that industry leaders believe in TOWN’s collaborative and transformational approach to redefining real estate services in Manhattan. This is a mutually beneficial and serendipitous coming together of veteran and passionate forces in which the whole will surely be more than the sum of its parts.”
“The culture of care TOWN has curated and become known for is second to none ,” said Mr. Fromm. “As the firm expands its neighborhood office presence, its position as the hyperlocal expert of Manhattan’s submarkets is further cemented.“
Mr. Fromm will be based out of TOWN Astor Place, located in the Gwathmey Siegel-designed building at 26 Astor Place. He joins a team of industry veterans including Managing Director Jeff Doder, Co-Leasing Directors Larry Goldblatt and Shari Forrest and Director of Education and Professional Development Jeff Appel, whose 60-course TOWN Education curriculum and neighborhood certification program are taught from the 30-seat TOWN Hall training center at TOWN Astor Place.
“You’re never too old or too experienced to learn,” said Fromm of the development program, which includes courses such as “Land Use Issues-Introduction to Zoning” and “Financing in the New Credit Environment.” “I expect to attend every one of Jeff’s classes.”
Ms. Saez-Fromm, who as co-founder and COO of Mark David & Company also led the firm’s public relations and marketing initiatives, will work out of TOWN Flatiron at 110 Fifth Avenue under the tutelage of Maitland and Leasing Director Itzy Garay.
“Mark and Claudia have extensive, deep and authentic relationships with landlords and brokers throughout downtown Manhattan,” said Garay. “And in this market, where inventory is at an all-time low, relationships are king.”
Ms. Fromm’s extensive client base includes Manhattan’s top lifestyle and fitness entrepreneurs as well as leaders in the private education sector.
“TOWN’s value proposition is a unique combination of training, marketing and customer-service tools that allows me to capitalize on my existing relationships,” said Ms. Saez-Fromm. “TOWN offers a high-energy environment that primes my sales business for growth, backed by the guidance of a superior executive team and a host of resources that promise continued success.”
