LMC to manage Secaucus shopping center

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) has been named managing agent for The Plaza at Harmon Meadow in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Carlton Strategic Ventures and New Valley Realty jointly own the 192,000-square-foot, open air mixed-use property, located in the desirable Meadowlands submarket.

Situated at 650 and 700 Plaza Drive within the larger Harmon Meadow development, The Plaza serves as home to a diverse mix of retail, service and office tenants including a Kerasotes ShowPlace 14 Theater complex, Pier 1 Imports, Chipotle, Starbucks, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Houlihan’s, Red Lobster, Cosi, Cups Frozen Yogurt and GNC, among others.

“We are pleased to have Levin on board as managing agent for The Plaza at Harmon Meadow,” said Howard L. Michaels, chairman of Carlton Strategic Ventures.

“The firm’s depth of knowledge and experience in this submarket, combined with its integrated platform of service offerings, will be instrumental in maximizing the shopping center’s efficiency and appeal for years to come.”

The LMC team is overseeing day-to-day operations at The Plaza, with a focus on revitalizing the project, according to Robert Carson, LMC’s executive vice president.

“The Plaza at Harmon Meadow is a highly visible property in the center of a vibrant mixed-use development,” he said. “Our initial focus here will be to renovate common areas and maximize overall curb appeal. We will also be completing several large-scale capital projects already started by our client, including a parking deck refurbishment and a courtyard renovation.”

“Ownership wanted a firm with a strong local presence, and valued the fact that LMC’s full range of services are coordinated in-house from one location,” said Carson.

“They also appreciate the expertise and range of tenant coordination services our construction management group brings to our assignments”

The property, which also includes a small office component, offers immediate access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 3, minutes from routes 17 and 46.
