HAVE YOU HEARD? Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse chosen;

The annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House will be at 125 East 65th Street in Lenox Hill this year.
Hosted by the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, the event draws some of the nation’s top design talent for a month-long showcase that draws over 15,000 visitors.
Twenty leading interior designers will decorate individual rooms of the house before it is opened to the public for a month-long showcase beginning May 2.
All of the money raised goes to fund after-school and enrichment programs run by Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club for more than 10,000 yung people throughout the Bronx. The organization has raised over $20 million to date.


“We are thrilled to announce that the 2017 Kips Bay Decorator Show House will take place at 125 East 65th Street, an inspiring canvas to celebrate the Show House’s remarkable forty-fifth year,” said Show House chair, interior designer Bunny Williams.
“The flexible floor plan will be the perfect palette for this year’s designers. We look forward to another successful Show House season, to raise critical funds for New York City’s youth.”
The Show House is the Boys & Girls Club’s leading fundraiser.
“Each year, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House proves to be an unparalleled display of incredible interior design talent, raising critical funds for New York City children,” said James Druckman, president and CEO of the New York Design Center, and President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
“We are looking forward to opening this year’s show house, welcoming consumers and designers alike.”
125 East 65th Street (pictured top) is a four-story, neo-Georgian style red brick building designed by architect Charles A. Platt as a private home and built in 1905.
It retains original detailing including the paneling, fireplace mantel, painted beam ceiling and herringbone floor.

KRE Group and National Real Estate Advisors will officially unveil the first phase of Journal Squared on Friday (March 17).
The 53-story tower is the first of three buildings that will bring 538 new rental apartments, retail and restaurant space to the area.
Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group, and Murray Kushner, chairman will host a ribbon cutting ceremony with Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop to celebrate the launch of leasing.
