Real estate’s EcoQueen, Susan Singer, has returned to Corcoran after a four-year stint at TOWN Residential.
New York City’s first Certified Eco-Broker, Singer is a licensed associate broker based at Corcoran’s Union Square office.
“It’s great to be home,” said Singer. “First of all, I’m returning to my roots. Corcoran also has the technology and marketing to help me and my clients, and it has grown. I couldn’t be happier.”
Singer was an agent with Corcoran for 10 years prior to TOWN. She was Corcoran’s “Rookie of the Year” during her first year in real estate, achieving Corcoran’s Million Dollar Club annually thereafter.
She was instrumental in Corcoran opening their Chelsea office, where she was the Chelsea Salesperson of the Year in 2006. Also in 2006, she became known as the EcoQueen of Green as New York City’s first Certified Eco-Broker. Among her hundreds of sales in New York, as a resident of London Terrace, she sold over 170 properties there in nine years. In 2014, Susan sold and closed 36 properties.
She has served on the boards of London Terrace Towers, Empire State Pride Agenda and 23rd Street Business Association.
In the early 90s, Singer opened a green business in upstate New York where she developed and sold all-natural and recycled products for the home and garden. Returning to Manhattan, she worked as director of direct marketing for American Baby magazine and embarked on a two-year degree program in Feng Shui. A lover of the performing arts and music, she also studied theater at Lee Strasburg in Manhattan, and has taken voice lessons with a variety of teachers over the years. Since 2001, she has also worked with a jazz ensemble that performs several times annually.
Singer create a cartoon strip, The Adventures of the Green Queen, which is still found on her two highly-trafficked blogs susansingerspaces.com and ecoqueenofgreen.com.
