James Famularo and Eliot Goldschmidt of Meridian Retail Leasing, arranged a 15-year lease for the American eatery Grand Canyon Diner at 143 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights.

Famularo and Goldschmidt represented the landlord and the tenant.
The restaurant features 2,000 s/f of ground-level space and 21 feet of frontage on Montague Street.
The property is situated one block from the R train at the Court Street station.
The eatery, which is slated to open in the fall of 2018, will be owner Gonzalo Carreto’s third restaurant in Brooklyn, with Mex Carroll’s Diner serving American and Mexican comfort food in the Columbia Street Waterfront District and another Grand Canyon Diner operating in Park Slope.
“We received multiple offers for the space, but ultimately the landlord decided to go with Gonzalo because of his 25-year history in the neighborhood,” Goldschmidt said.
