Faith Hope Consolo launched her new charitable foundation in style last night at the annual Mercy College Trustees Scholarship Dinner.
The Queen of Retail matched the $45,000 raised during the dinner with a donation from her newly-created Real Estate Has A Heart foundation.
“I think what the school has done to expand its programs and, in turn, the horizons of its students, is tremendous,” Consolo told guests at the Plaza Hotel event, where several Mercy kids impressed a well-heeled crowd with inspirational stories of their determination to succeed, often despite the odds.
Consolo was honored alongside New York Stock Exchange CEO Duncan Niederauer, publishers William and Frank Sadlier Dinger, and Luxury Marketing Council chairman Gregory Furman for her philanthropic efforts on the school’s behalf.
As well as personally mentoring Mercy students, Consolo is a long-time supporter of the city’s school system and said her Real Estate Has A Heart foundation will allow her to help causes close to her heart under one charitable umbrella.
