On Sunday, May 18, Douglas Elliman Real Estate president & CEO Dottie Herman helped kick off the fifth annual Every Woman Matters Walk (inset right) to celebrate the Katz Institute of Women’s Health and Katz Women’s Hospital, part of the North Shore – LIJ University Hospital system. Douglas Elliman was a major sponsor of the event. Hundreds of men, women, and children lined up at the starting line in Jones Beach to walk the 3.1-mile route along the boardwalk. Herman urged all those walking to do so in honor of someone special. The event raises awareness and funds for women’s health issues.
