Jamella Swift of Keller Williams NYC knew she had something special on her hands with a Fort Greene townhouse — and so did everyone else.
Before the first open house at 26 South Portland Avenue, she had buyers ringing the doorbell.
“It is very rare that a house on South Portland Avenue comes on the market,” said Swift.
“This house received sight unseen offers; buyers were ringing the doorbell prior to the first open house. Within one week, we had eight offers.ˮ
Swift had listed the 4,000 s/f townhouse at $3,450,000. It has a two-bedroom owner’s duplex, plus three occupied rental units with leases that expire May 2015.
The duplex has an island kitchen with a dining area, a master bedroom with an en suite bath and 1.5 additional bathrooms.
The second bedroom has French doors providing access to the garden. Swift closed the sale within three weeks, with her sellers receiving $4.3 million — $850,000 over the ask.
Abigail Agranat of Douglas Elliman brought in the buyer.
