ROOKIE agent Allison Dubuisson can only hope all of her deals are as good as her first.
The Douglas Elliman agent steered her client to a Long Island City condo after it quickly became apparent a Manhattan co-op was out of her reach.
Within two days, the young professional Californian relocating for a new job, was sitting pretty in a one bedroom in Queens Plaza that she bought for $555,000.
“My client was attracted to Long Island City because she could get more space and value for her money than in Manhattan,ˮ said Dubuisson.
“We originally searched in Manhattan but, during the search process, we discovered that she really preferred a relatively new building with modern amenities. It was hard to find this in the city, especially now when the inventory is so low.
“I suggested we expand our search to LIC because the commute is very feasible and the prices are significantly lower than Manhattan. My client soon fell in love with LIC because the commute to work is 10 minutes and she could get more value for her money there. It was really a no brainer.ˮ
Dubuisson got her client into the 732 s/f unit at 41-26 27th Street the day after it was listed by Adrian Lupu at Nestseekers. The contracts were signed two days after that.
