Citi Habitats teams up with TheGuarantors

Citi Habitats has formed an alliance with financial technology firm TheGuarantors – designed to help streamline the apartment leasing process for the firm’s rental clients.

TheGuarantors provides lease guarantee services, security deposit alternatives and renters’ insurance. The two companies will work together by collaborating on events and marketing initiatives.

Recent changes in New York state law now forbid the payment of multiple months of rent up front – or extra security – as a means to qualify for an apartment.  Therefore, it is more important than ever for Citi Habitats to provide renters who may face approval challenges (those relocating from overseas, students, or people with less-than-perfect credit).

“This initiative further advances Citi Habitats’ commitment to innovative and forward-thinking tools for agents, renters and building owners,” explained Gary Malin, president of Citi Habitats.  “We are excited about this new alliance and are confident it will prove beneficial to both our agents and their valued clients.”

“We are always eager to work with partners in the real estate ecosystem who value innovation and seek out tools that solve customers’ needs in new ways. Citi Habitats has been a great partner for us in the past and we look forward to growing the relationship and supporting their agents with our unique suite of solutions, ” said Bob Schmidt, co-founder and managing director of TheGuarantors.
