Bobby Van’s, the prestigious New York steakhouse, is bringing its culinary flair to 180 Maiden Lane this summer.
Clarion Partners and MHP Real Estate Services, the building’s owners, announced that the restaurant group owned by Joseph Smith, and David Beck’s catering company BY DAVID COMPANIES, have formed Maiden Lane Hospitality to provide catering and restaurant management services to 180 Maiden Lane.
Bobby Vans was attracted by the opportunity to put its stamp on 180 Maiden Lane’s $28 million renovation, which includes new improvements to the food service and collaborative areas within the building’s vertical campus.
The company will provide a variety of menu options and operate the retail kiosk and coffee and juice bar in the ground floor public plaza, as well as offer in-building catering services to tenants and on-site events.
“This new venture brings together two leaders in the restaurant and food service industry, and is another exciting step forward in the ongoing transformation of the amenities available in the neighborhood,” said Alan Rubenstein, senior vice president at Clarion Partners.
“We are delighted to introduce these high quality and differentiating services to the building’s tenants and visitors.”
Joseph Smith at Bobby Van’s, added, “We are thrilled to have been selected to work with Clarion and MHP in bringing a new level of service and sophistication to the building’s dining options.”
The $28M renovation will be complete by early summer at which time Bobby Van’s will start operations.
