Aussies to open Manhattan flagship

1155 Avenue of the Americas

The Durst Organization has welcomed Gumption Coffee to its first Manhattan retail location at 1155 Avenue of the Americas.

Louis Franco, Jack Hurley and Joseph Isa of Isa Realty Group represented both the landlord and the tenant in the 15-year lease for a 768 s/f.

It’s just the second US location for the Australia-based coffee chain that has become one of the favorites in a nation well known for its good Joe. What started as a small commercial roaster in Sydney, Australia, has grown to become an award-winning chain of cafes where the coffee is roasted on the premises.

Last year, Gumption opened its first US location at Industry City in Brooklyn.

The new Avenue of the Americas location will be Gumption Coffeeʼs flagship and is expected to open “early 2020.”
