Citi Habitats announced that Joe Azar has re-joined the firm as the senior managing director of their East Village office, located at 37 Third Avenue.
Azar will lead the office’s agent recruiting and training program. In addition, he will be responsible for increasing this location’s revenue, and volume of exclusive sales and rental listings.
Azar was an agent at Citi Habitats for seven years. His first year in the business, he was named the firm’s “Rookie of the Year,” and he was consistently among the company’s top 25 producers in rentals and sales thereafter.
Most recently, he worked at TOWN Residential, where he was a leading agent at their Upper East Side office.
Prior to beginning his career in real estate, he graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in Business Administration and Finance.

With the opening of its newest office, TOWN West Village at 446 West 14th Street in the Meatpacking district, the company announced that Kristin Thomas has joined the organization as Sales Director.
Thomas leads the retail office along with industry veteran, leasing director Eric McCarthy, and the esteemed Wendy Maitland, senior managing director of sales.
In taking on the position at TOWN, Thomas has decided to close the luxury firm she had co-founded in 2010, Thomas & Ingram Real Estate, a boutique sales firm in Soho, where she had served as president & CEO for three years.
The majority of Thomas’ colleagues have decided to join her at TOWN West Village.
