TOWN Residential announced that licensed associate real estate broker Sandu Calinescu has joined the firm’s Flatiron office, located at 110 Fifth Avenue.
With more than ten years of experience, Calinescu joins TOWN from Urban Compass. Prior to that, he was with Douglas Elliman and Citi Habitats where he was consistently recognized as a top producer in sales and rentals, boasting unparalleled results at every price range from studios to multi-million-dollar townhomes.
Calinescu has lived in several New York City neighborhoods from Long Island City to his current home on the Upper West Side.
Originally from Bucharest, Romania, he was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He graduated from Hunter College with a double major in Political Science and Media and Film Studies, and also holds an International Political Studies certificate from New York University.
Prior to his career in real estate, Calinescu enjoyed a successful career in media sales and commercial traffic co-ordination with NBC and NBC Sports.

Homes By Mara Realty announced that Jennifer Mao has joined the firm as a licensed salesperson.
New to the real estate sector, Mao moved to the United States in 1986 from China.
She full time senior programming analyst at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, is excited to be embrace residential real estate as a second career.
As a new agent with Homes By Mara, Mao is capitalizing on her Chinese heritage and language skills to build upon Long Island’s growing Chinese community, which includes not only working with Chinese home buyers and sellers currently on Long Island, but also those living in China with interest in relocating to the region.
She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Material Engineering from Shanghai University in China and a Masters in Chemistry from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Mao began her career as researcher specializing in high temperature ceramics with Ceramics Research Institute in Shanghai, China.
Her career in the United States began as an accounting manager with Allied Manufacturing Group. Her professional background includes owning a Chinese catering restaurant and serving as a senior programmer with North Shore Long Island Jewish Healthcare System.

A leading agent with Corcoran’s 124 Montague Street office, Philip Henn has been a broker for over a decade, ranking among NRT’s Top 1,000 Sales Associates Nationwide in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
He was also recognized as a member of Corcoran’s prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Club.
A native New Yorker, Henn has worked extensively in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, representing both buyers and sellers.
Additionally, he has considerable experience working on new developments and with real estate investors. Most recently, Henn was credited with the successful sales of 185 York Street in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn.
Tech-savvy James Bogan also joins TOWN Residential from Corcoran’s 124 Montague Street office.
Bogan teamed up with Henn late 2013 and quickly learned the intricacies of the real estate market working along-side the top-ranking agent.
He is a graduate of Hofstra University with a degree in Legal Studies and Business.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate announced the promotion of Sean Blankenship to chief marketing officer from his prior role as senior vice president of marketing for the firm.
In this expanded role, Blankenship is responsible for the development and expansion of the Coldwell Banker global brand architecture, including the luxury home program Coldwell Banker Previews International.
He will continue to oversee the brand’s holistic marketing platform, which includes advertising, media, public relations, product development, promotions and marketing communications.
Blankenship has more than 24 years of experience in shaping brands.
Since joining Coldwell Banker in 2013, Blankenship has helped re-shape the brands voices with campaigns that have included the 2014 “Home Sweet Home” campaign featuring rock band Motley Crue.
Before joining Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Blankenship spent most of his career in the automotive industry, leading digital and marketing initiatives for brands like Nissan and Toyota.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Fullerton, earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix and is a licensed real estate sales professional.
