Sugar Hill Capital Partners (SHCP) has hired Sharon Liss as Director of Investor Relations and Marketing.
Liss is responsible for investor relations, fund performance analysis, and fundraising.
Prior to joining Sugar Hill Capital Partners, she worked as the Head of Business Development for a non-profit organization in New York. Before that, she worked at RBC Capital Markets, where she was vice president. Earlier, she held positions at Wells Fargo and CW Capital.
Liss holds a M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Businesss, where she focused on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law, and a B.S. from Touro College.
One of the first priorities for Liss will be working on SHCP’s launch of the new Sugar Hill Property Fund V which will invest in stressed and distressed New York City middle-market multi-family real estate. Fund V is expected to close in 2016 with up to $150 million in equity.

Steven Gomez has joined Cignature Realty Associates Inc as a managing director to help oversee the company’s expansion and sales strategy.
Gomez will be responsible for development, training and deployment of new sales agents and associates, as well serving on the company’s executive committee.
Gomez brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate brokerage and management expertise.
He most recently served as president of Business Advisory Partners Inc.. Previously, he was a managing director with CBRE where he started and led the firm’s national restructuring practice that garnered the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) national account for disposition of distressed commercial real estate debt and assets.
Gomez also created CBRE’s regional broker training program.
Prior to CBRE, he was sales manager for the Manhattan office of Marcus & Millichap.

Dane Professional Consulting Group announced that Peter Wallace has been promoted to Acquisitions, focusing on the procurement of high-end retail properties.
Wallace was previously a real estate salesperson at Dane having begun his real estate caree with the company after completing his undergraduate degree with honors at Fordham University.

Colliers International announced that former National Football League player Steve Maneri has joined its New York operations as an Associate Director of Brokerage Services.
Having spent five years in the NFL, Maneri will now specialize in tenant representation, supporting the brokerage team led by Vice Chairman Joe Cabrera.
Maneri was an all-conference tight end and the captain of the Temple football team. He was consistently on the Dean’s list and graduated with honors in 2010.
During his NFL tenure (2010-2015), Maneri played with six different teams: Texans, Patriots, Chiefs, Bears, Buccaneers, and Jets. In 2014, he had two separate stints with the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots.
Among his notable off-season endeavors, Maneri worked with Tricare Medical Transportation, serving in a business development capacity.
He is also the co-founder of Kids Dream Big Foundation, a nonprofit with the goal of providing children guidance on setting and attaining goals for their future.

Savills Studley announced that six professionals were promoted to new roles within the company.
Evan Margolin, Jason Perla, Dan Posy and Brad Wolk were promoted to executive managing director in the firm’s New York headquarters, while Chris Marx and Gregg Najarian were elevated to branch manager of the firm’s Northern New Jersey office in Hackensack. They were all formerly senior managing directors.
The promotions come closely on the heels of Savills Studley’s expansion of its North American operations, highlighted by the establishment of four new offices in U.S. and the opening of the company’s first office in Canada, as well as the acquisition of several key new hires and services lines across the country.
Evan Margolin, who joined the company in 2002, focuses on representing hedge funds, boutique financial services firms and technology companies.
Throughout his tenure at Savills Studley he has been awarded Rookie of the Year, received his first promotion in less than six months and is recognized as having the fastest ascent from associate to executive managing director in the firm’s history.
Margolin earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing and management from The State University of New York at Albany.
Jason Perla, who joined the company in 2004, provides lease analysis, strategic planning, lease negotiations and financial modeling in the firm’s New York Consulting Group.
Prior to joining Savills Studley, Perla worked in acquisitions at Insignia Financial Group and investment banking at Lehman Brothers.
He graduated from the University of Michigan receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration and holds a degree from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.
Also in the firm’s New York Consulting Group, Brad Wolk, handles strategic planning, financial analysis and lease negotiation for many of the firm’s largest clients.
Before joining Savills Studley in 2005, Wolk served as in-house counsel for a regional developer.
He graduated from Tufts University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and received a law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Dan Posy specializes in representing hedge funds and private equity firms.
During his 13 years at Savills Studley, Posy has completed more than 100 transactions totaling nearly 3 million square feet.
Prior to joining the firm, Posy worked for Insignia ESG, where he started his career.
He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Queens College.
Christopher Marx is a 30-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry and has completed some of the largest headquarters transactions in New Jersey totaling over 9 million square feet.
In addition to brokerage services and business development, Marx will oversee the firm’s New Jersey operations and will be responsible for expanding its roster of professionals.
Prior to joining Savills Studley in 2004, Marx served as a Senior Vice President at USI Real Estate Brokerage Services, Inc, where he co-managed the New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania offices.
A graduate of Boston College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, Marx is a board member of the March of Dimes of NJ, CoreNet Global and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).
Gregg Najarian who has completed more than 5.5 million square feet of transactions throughout his career, will also serve as branch manager in New Jersey.
in his new role, Najarian will assume additional responsibilities for the growth and development of the New Jersey office and its brokerage staff, while continuing to provide tenant representation services to his clients nationally.
He joined Savills Studley in March 2004 when Strategic Alliance Partners joined forces with the company. Najarian joined Strategic in 1994 as one of the firm’s first brokers.
He graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Paramount Group, Inc. announced the appointment of Wilbur Paes as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
Paes succeeds Michael Walsh who will leave the Company to pursue other opportunities.
Paes joined Paramount in 2014 as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and helped the Company complete the largest U.S. REIT initial public offering in November 2014.
Since joining the Company, he has been responsible for all of the Company’s accounting and financial reporting matters, and has also contributed significantly in the Company’s financial planning process and capital markets transactions.
Before joining the Company’s Executive Management Team, Paes spent over 11 years at Vornado Realty Trust where he was Senior Vice President of SEC Reporting and held a myriad of senior leadership positions in accounting and finance during his time there.
Prior to that, he worked for KPMG LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP, where he served some of the firms’ largest real estate clients.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. (HFF) has expanded its investment sales team with the addition of David Giancola and Graham Stephens as managing directors in its New York office.
Giancola and Stephens will focus on commercial investment sale transactions in Manhattan and the Tri-State area.
David Giancola joins HFF from Cushman & Wakefield (f/k/a Cassidy Turley & DTZ) where he was a managing director in their capital markets/investment sales group since 2014.
Prior to that, he spent considerable time on the investment teams at West-River Capital and Heitman and was a member of the investment sales group at DTZ Rockwood.
Giancola holds an MBA with a dual concentration in Real Estate and Finance from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree from University of Pennsylvania.
Graham Stephens joins HFF from Cushman & Wakefield (f/k/a Cassidy Turley and DTZ) where he had worked as a managing director of the New York City capital markets team since 2012. Prior to that, he was with Eastdil Secured’s New York City institutional sales team.
Stephens began his commercial real estate career at RBS Greenwich Capital’s real estate finance group.
Stephens graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Robert A. Hauser will join the national Real Estate Practice Group of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP as a consultant in the Firm’s Washington, DC office.
Hauser, former Senior Assistant Regional Counsel with the General Services Administration (GSA), will help the firm’s Government Real Estate team counsel clients with respect to the acquisition, disposition, construction and financing of property involving government leaseS.
Prior to Hauser’s 17 year tenure with the GSA, he served as counsel in the Office of the General Counsel, Naval Air Systems Command for the Department of the Navy where he counseled clients regarding award and administration of contracts.
He received his J.D. from the American University School of Law and his B.A. from George Mason.
