Colliers International announced the addition of 21-year industry veteran Kimberly Brennan as the region’s Chief Operating Officer.
She will be responsible for overall business operations, including P&L, business development, expanding market share, and providing leadership and strategic direction to the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut offices.
Prior to joining Colliers, Brennan was the highest-ranking female commercial real estate executive in New Jersey, serving as Market Leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey region, growing that operation over the last decade.
An active member in several key industry organizations, Brennan is heavily involved with NAIOP, including her role on the NAIOP Board of Trustees, and as co-chair of the NAIOP education program committee.
Prior to her role with Cushman & Wakefield, Brennan was the Director of Brokerage Services for CB Richard Ellis’ Midtown Manhattan office, and had responsibility for sales management in the Tri-State area.
Brennan holds a degree in Political Science from Seton Hall University.

CPEX Real Estate announced that Robert W. Walsh, the former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services for 12 years during the Bloomberg Administration, will join the firm as a senior managing director of its Advisory Services Division.
In his previous role as Commissioner of Small Business Services, Walsh transformed the agency to better respond and serve the needs of New York’s 200,000 small businesses.
He developed new Business Solution Centers and Workforce Centers throughout the five boroughs that placed more than 200,000 New Yorkers in jobs and secured more than $200 million in capital for small businesses. He created 24 new Business Improvement Districts and oversaw the network of 70 BIDs.
As President of Charlotte Center City Partners in North Carolina, he initiated a master plan for the City that led to more housing, retail development, an NBA arena, a light rail line, and the attraction of Johnson & Wales University.
From 1989-97, he served as Executive Director of the Union Square Partnership. Before that, he served in the Koch Administration in various capacities including assistant director for Citywide Services in the Mayor’s Office of Operations ,and executive director of the NYC Urban Fellows Program.
Walsh concurrently teaches as a distinguished lecturer and Faculty Director of the Executive Master of Public Administration Program at CUNY’s Baruch School of Public Affairs. He also produces a weekly segment on CBS’s New York 1010 WINS known as, “The Bottom Line for Small Business.”

Transwestern announced the expansion of its New York office with Senior Vice Presidents Ryan McKinney and Rory Murphy.
Each brings significant experience in serving clients in the Manhattan markets with more than three million square feet of transactions between them. The addition of McKinney and Murphy follows the recent hire of Senior Vice President David Stockel, and all three professionals specialize in Tenant Advisory Services and Agency Leasing.
Ryan McKinney will be responsible for Tenant Advisory Services and Agency Leasing in the Midtown and Midtown South markets.
He joins the firm from Savills Studley, where he served as assistant director representing clients such as Nike, Time Warner Cable Enterprises LLC and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Rory Murphy will be responsible for Tenant Advisory Services and Agency Leasing in the Midtown South and Downtown markets.
Most recently, he served as associate director at Cushman & Wakefield. He represented tenants in the technology, media and nonprofit industries and worked on downtown agency assignments totaling more than 1.4 million square feet.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Richard B. Hodos, a 28-year industry veteran in retail real estate, has been promoted to vice chairman.
A member of CBRE’s New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Team since joing the company in 2007, Hodos was awarded the Real Estate Board of New York’s Most Ingenious Retail Deal of the Year Award last year for representing Ralph Lauren in 2013 in its 38,000 s/f lease at its new Polo flagship at 711 Fifth Avenue.
Among his recent notable transactions and assignments, are the current marketing of 28,000 s/f of retail space at 300 Lafayette Street, a new SoHo development, on behalf of Related Companies and Larga Vista Companies; 2014 tenant representation of Microsoft’s 21,000 s/f lease at 677 Fifth Avenue; Coach’s 6,200 s/f renewal at 595 Madison Avenue, and Qatar Luxury Group’s (QELA) 6,500 s/f lease at 680 Madison Avenue.
Prior to working at CBRE, Hodos served as president and co-founder of Madison HGCD, LLC. He has represented landlords such as Brookfield Properties at the former World Financial Center, now Brookfield Place.
He also represented Goldman Sachs at 200 West Street and Hearst Communications at 300 West 57th Street in leasing the retail space in their corporate headquarters buildings. He represented more retailers than any other broker in the merchandising of Time Warner Center (The Related Companies) and the re-merchandising at Rockefeller Center (Tishman Speyer Properties).

Vincent Giambona brings over 20 years of experience owning and operating restaurants throughout the states of New Jersey and Florida.
Giambona also has been involved in investing in real estate properties. As a General Contractor and Project Manager for numerous investments, he was responsible for developing and overseeing numerous real estate developments to completion.
Leslie Small worked as a real estate manager for numerous national and regional tenants across the east coast including T-Mobile, Metro PCS and Bechtel Power — a major vendor for AT&T Wireless.
Her responsibilities included the handling of site acquisitions and subsequent leasing to land use and zoning.
Amir Sankar worked for Costanza Commercial Real Estate where he was in charge of acquisitions for franchise development sites in addition to handling a portfolio of both residential and commercial properties.

1st Alliance Lending, LLC has named Rick Cardillo as its national director of business development.
Cardillo is a nationally recognized, mortgage banking executive with over 27 years of mortgage and consumer banking experience.
He has held senior positions at Nationstar, CitiFinancial Mortgage, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley Credit Services.
Cardillo will lead 1st Alliance Lending’s multi-channel national lending program, including developing relationships with mortgage bankers, brokers, credit unions, community banks and Realtors who seek to enhance their mortgage offerings to underserved borrowers.

Gebroe-Hammer Associates has promoted four of its top-producing brokers to new executive management positions.
Greg Pine, who joined Gebroe-Hammer 13 years ago, has been named executive vice president.
He has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s presence in the high-barrier-to-entry Bergen County market. A newcomer to the multi-family brokerage field when he joined Gebroe-Hammer, Pine quickly emerged as a leader and was promoted from sales associate to vice president.
Stephen Tragash has been named senior vice president.
Since the earliest days of the recession when he started at Gebroe-Hammer, Tragash has spearheaded the firm’s record-breaking activity and dominance in Union County. In addition, his territory extends to Hunterdon and Sussex counties as well as parts of Morris County, where he has recorded several high-profile transactions. Tragash represents a wide range of first-time and long-term clients in some of the region’s most prominent market and off-market transactions. His total sales during the past eight years involve more than 2,000 units.
Nicholas Nicolaou, who joined Gebroe-Hammer as sales associates in 2010, has been named senior vice president.
Nicolaou also has been instrumental in facilitating several prominent transactions while focusing on investment real estate sales along the Hudson River Waterfront.
In the past 12 months, he has closed more than $185 million in transactions throughout Northern New Jersey. He was the recipient of Gebroe-Hammer’s 2012 Salesperson of the Year Award. He also has been consistently recognized as a NJ Top Broker.
Debbie Pomerantz joined Gebroe-Hammer as a sales associate in 2011 to focus on Northern New Jersey’s Bergen and Passaic county markets.
During the past 18 months, she has closed sales involving more than 556 units netting over $60 million.
Pomerantz consistently obtains a high velocity of exclusive listings and also represents clients whose interests extend beyond Northern New Jersey. She is a two-time recipient of Gebroe-Hammer’s peer-selected Salesperson of the Year Award.

Lane Office announced that Daniel Hickey has been named president.
He returns to Lane Office in an all-encompassing role, dedicated to client service and satisfaction.
His diverse industry experience, (as an account executive, operations director and project manager,) provides the foundation for his reliability as a client advocate. Significant projects include Interpublic Group, Aegis Media, FINRA, Allianz, Cushman & Wakefield, HealthFirst.
Hickey previously served as the director of operations at Lane Office.
He returns to Lane Office following a two year stint in the advertising industry.
He has a B.A. Psychology / Sociology from the University of Notre Dame.

The Advantage Group has appointed Drew Steigler as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Counsel of its flagship company, Advantage Title).
Steigler will be responsible for handling complex commercial and residential real estate transactions across the New York metro area and the nation.
Steigler joins from Zodiac Title Services where he served as senior underwriting counsel responsible for transactions throughout the United States.
Steigler has also served in lead underwriting counsel roles for a $7.4 billion acquisition of a major retailer with an insured liability of approximately $1.2 billion; New York City trophy properties with $1 billion liabilities; and construction financing for military base housing on five U.S. Air Force bases.
Steigler graduated from the Hofstra University School of Law.
