Urban Land Institute New York (ULI NY) announced the 2020 nominees for its 5th Annual Awards for Excellence in Development.
The competition recognizes outstanding development projects across all industry sectors that demonstrate the strongest commitment to excellence in development, design, sustainability and resilience, and community impact.
This year’s finalists encompass a variety of prominent projects that showcase the city’s growth in diverse sectors, including the Statue of Liberty Museum, the New Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park.
ULI NY invited the real estate community throughout New York State to submit projects for consideration in diverse categories that span civic, office, hotel, affordable housing, market-rate housing, mixed-use, institutional, and repositioning or redevelopment. The Awards are open to ULI NY members and non-members who have completed private, public, and non-profit projects.
“The Awards for Excellence are an opportunity for ULI New York to shine a light on the developments that are transforming and revitalizing New York,” said Steven Kohn, chairman of ULI New York. “These projects are contributing to New York’s growth in responsible and sustainable ways, the results of which we will see for generations to come.”
