TF Cornerstone Inc. recently welcomed classical pianist Kimball Gallagher – and more than 100 music enthusiasts and residents – to the rooftop of its 2 Gold Street property for a salon-style performance to promote environmental awareness in India.
The at-capacity show was co-sponsored by the developer and Park Avenue Pianos, and raised $2,200 for Gallagher’s humanitarian initiative.
Part of Gallagher’s 7 City Concert Tour, the concert – number 37 out of 88 – was hosted in the glass-ensconced solarium atop 2 Gold Street and performed on a Steinway baby grand piano.
The occasion, which also featured composer Reena Esmail, illustrated the role music can play in humanitarian challenges, and opened with remarks by United Nations Senior Advisory Gabo Arora.
Gallagher’s 7 City Tour will support Chintan – a Delhi-based non-governmental organization (NGO) recently given the Secretary of State’s Innovation Award – and other waste-picker non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
“TF Cornerstone is proud to support Kimball Gallagher in his mission to bring the world closer together and inspire action through the arts,” said Sofia Estevez, Executive Vice President for TF Cornerstone Inc. “The performance was a great success and I was thrilled to see so many of our residents seated in the audience.”
Located in Manhattan’s Financial District (FiDi), 2 Gold Street comprises a collection of 839 studio to three-bedroom residences with spacious layouts, upscale finishes and exceptional views.
In addition to the building’s expansive roof deck and solarium, which features a real grass lawn, residents have access to a heated lap pool, a 13,000 square-foot clubroom, landscaped courtyard, fully-equipped fitness center, children’s playroom, 24-hour concierge and onsite parking.
The 51-story tower is situated at the heart of FiDi, steps from the neighborhood’s retail and culinary destinations, such as such as Capital Grille, Financier Patisserie and Cipriani Wall Street.
