New Street Realty Advisors has leased the former Tommy Lasagna restaurant at 119 East 18th to Javelina TexMex, a new upscale TexMex concept.
At the helm of Javelina is restaurateur Matt Post. Javelina will take occupancy immediately and plans to start serving their upscale south-of-the border fare in the first quarter of 2015.

They will join other successful restaurants in and around the Gramercy neighborhood, including Friend of the Farmer, The House, Pure Food & Wine, Yama, Casa Mona and Pierre Loti.
Joshua D. Kaufman of New Street Realty Advisors acted on behalf of the Life Restaurant Group, which operated the previous restaurant. Winston Gitonga of KAM Hospitality Group represented Javelina.
New Street Realty Advisors also relocated Kessler’s Fine Wines and Spirits to a new storefront at 79 Madison Avenue, a 17 story, 250,000 s/f office building in NoMad.
Kessler’s, which is currently located just off the northeast corner of East 28th Street and Madison Avenue will be relocating to a larger storefront of approximately 1,000 s/f from a space that it has occupied in the same building for the past 30 years.
And Ricky’s Halloween has leased the entire ground floor of 5,000 s/f at 55 East 125th Street, the northeast corner of Madison Avenue, for a Halloween pop-up store.
