Clarion Partners, owner of 100-104 Fifth Avenue, and The Kaufman Organization, the exclusive leasing agent, announced that current tenant Knewton, has increased its footprint at the property.
Currently housed in a 16,300 s/f full-floor space on the 8th floor, the education technology company is taking an additional 14,700 s/f on the seventh and 20th floors, bringing its total occupancy to 31,000 s/f.
The building has become “a destination for forward thinking tech and creative firms,” said Margaret Egan, senior vice president with Clarion Partners.
It was recently certified platinum by Wired NYC due to its wide range of high-end broadband options, offering seven different internet service providers and multiple telecommunications risers.
Although the terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking rent for the space on the seventh floor and 20th floors was in the $80s and $90s per-square-foot, respectively.
Grant Greenspan of the Kaufman Organization represented Clarion Partners, while Jim Wenk of JLL represented Knewton.
The company’s new space on the 20th floor features an expansive private terrace with views of the east and lower Manhattan.
