Colliers International has arranged 14,042 square feet of new, long-term office leases for Edgewater Plaza, bringing occupancy at the 268,938-square-foot, Class-A asset located at One Edgewater Plaza in Staten Island, New York, to 72 percent.
Among the new leases, Texas-based construction, rehabilitation, and rapid response provider SLSCO, Ltd. has leased 8,000 square feet on the third floor of the property for its first office in New York. Additionally, Staten Island Performing Provider System, LLC –– a new joint venture between the Staten Island University Medical Center and Richmond University Medical Center –– has leased 6,042 square feet on the seventh floor.
Concurrent with the transactions, the seven-story property — which the new owners recently acquired for $21.5 million — is scheduled to embark on a major capital improvements program.Colliers International had arranged the sale of the property and, as the exclusive leasing agent for ownership, is currently marketing the remaining 73,734 square feet of available space that includes 33,000 square feet of contiguous space, rare for the Staten Island office market.
